I spent the day at my son's school for their annual holiday bazaar-- selling capes and tutus! Sometimes I think it's nice to step out of historical sewing and just sew fun stuff for kids. This year's bazaar was particularly wonderful, as I had last year's unsold stuff to just steam and press and set out with no stress or creative effort whatsoever. This bazaar really doesn't have a lot of traffic, and I never ever really make any money, and that's okay. I'm supporting the school and I get to have a great day klatsching with my sister at our table and meeting all kinds of interesting Etsy-style hipsters and crafty elderly folks, all of whom just make a bunch of crap glued to other crap.  I had a really nice day, despite coming home with $7.50 in profit.

The very best part? Other than the moustache-on-a-stick I kept handy in case of a raid?

This:

It's a pin cushion! Isn't it adorable? Some sweet old lady made it and was asking only $2.50 for it.  I couldn't help myself! I know you are jealous.
